Jobs
You can find a professional or technical role working with the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) on Inland Rail by becoming a supplier.
During the construction of Inland Rail there will be employment and procurement opportunities for local people, businesses and communities, as well as skills and supply chain opportunities across the nation.
These immediate benefits have the potential to extend beyond construction, with long-term skills development, training and complementary investment being made alongside the alignment in food, fibre, resources, manufacturing, transport and logistics warehousing.
Maximising these benefits and opportunities for regional businesses, individuals and supply chains are key priorities of the Australian Government and is part of a broader commitment to improve the economic growth, resilience and livelihoods of regional communities through targeted, long-term infrastructure investment.
Inland Rail will support more than 21,500 direct and indirect jobs at the peak of construction.
In addition to the benefits in the Business Case, the Inland Rail Regional Opportunities report commissioned by the Government and released in 2020 found that Inland Rail could generate employment benefits and investments for regional Australia.
