Release of draft Border to Gowrie flood report

The Independent International Panel of Experts for flood studies in Queensland (the Independent Panel) has released their draft flood report for the Border to Gowrie (B2G) section of Inland Rail in Queensland.
The the Independent Panel undertook a comprehensive review of flood modelling and reference design solutions against Australian national guidelines and industry best practice to assure the project can progress to the detailed design phase.
The Independent Panel was established by the Australian and Queensland governments to provide advice on the flood models and reference design developed by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) for Inland Rail in Queensland.
The Independent Panel will also take into consideration relevant submissions to the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the B2G section of Inland Rail before finalising its report and advice to the governments. Local residents and communities are encouraged to comment on the draft EIS before the closing date of 19 April 2021 as this forms an important step in the regulatory approval process for the Inland Rail project.
Read the draft report and find out more about the Independent Panel, including its purpose, responsibilities and the Panel members.
