Funding for business cases that improve the interface with Inland Rail

In the 2019 Budget the Australian Government committed $44 million for strategic business cases and cost benefit studies that seek to improve the connectivity of country rail lines to Inland Rail or that enhance supply chain productivity and regional resilience through better access to Inland Rail.
Projects brought forward through the II Program will be assessed against a range of criteria and considered in light of their contribution to regional economic growth, capacity to encourage a modal shift to Inland Rail and ability to achieve national freight and supply chain priorities.
Information sessions will be delivered in regional centres along the Inland Rail alignment from late September 2019. Find out more about the Inland Rail Interface Improvement Program or register your interest now to attend an information session.
