The Toowoomba office covers communities from the New South Wales/Queensland border to Acacia Ridge in Queensland.
As the Regional Liaison Officer for the area from the Queensland border across to Brisbane, I have come to consider the departmental vehicle as my ‘office’. Travelling to and through towns such as Beaudesert, Gatton, Ipswich, Pittsworth, Brookstead, Dalby, Tara and Goondiwindi, I am fortunate to experience an office view of a diverse and rich landscape.
The variety of landscapes across the region is equalled only by the variety of people I am privileged to meet and talk with. Small business owners, managers of grain handling sites, local government teams and landowners are just a few of the amazing people who work across this area and with whom I have been able to meet and discuss the opportunities arising from the Inland Rail project.
